I often get asked, how can you like an autumn? It is the worst season. A lot of rain, dirt, the weather is gloomy. But I see the autumn from the other side. The air starts smelling differently, the smell of coloring leaves is blending with the smell of smoke rising from chimneys, and temperatures are finally more bearable for me. Leaves are coloring into beautiful colors of carmine red, bright orange and yellow, earthy brown. Fruit, nuts and rose hips are ripening. Pastel shades of evening sky are becoming more vibrant. Finally I get my favorite sweaters and warm socks out of my closet. We are making our favorite tea with honey and lemon to warm up, we are baking apple or plum cakes with cinnamon and we are enjoying misty mornings and quiet calm evenings surrounded with candles. Though the nature is preparing for winter, fall season always recharge me with new energy. That is why the autumn is my favorite season.
